DAVID MARTIN —
Chief Operating Officer
David Martin will serve as COO of the FUSE Stadium project for the Velocity Companies beginning in August 2020. He brings more than 28+ years of sports-related experience to the organization, including fifteen years leading minor league baseball franchises in Sarasota, FL., Winston-Salem, NC, Fresno, CA and High Point, NC. In each of these organizations, Martin served in a variety of roles that has prepared him for the launch and long-term success of the Gastonia Professional Baseball franchise.
Career highlights include opening two new ballparks in Fresno, CA & High Point, NC to completing an overhaul of the Winston-Salem Warthogs business operations. He cut his teeth early in his career serving in multiple capacities within operations, food and beverage, sales and marketing, ticket sales and administration.
He earned a master’s in sports administration from Kent State Univ., in 1991 and a bachelor’s in physical education from the Univ. of Tampa in 1990.
